Family is the gift that keeps on giving. We have the opportunity to give this gift to children who deserve a place to grow, thrive and call “home”—a place where the welcome never ends. We can give them the physical space of our home, the emotional space of our heart, and the spiritual space to allow God to work.
Wise men and women still seek Jesus every day. This Christmas, allow your life to be transformed by encountering and worshiping the Savior who came and changed the world.
These are things we need to calmly discuss this Christmas season — not debating theological nuances or denominational differences, but looking to the baby in the manger who was, in reality, the Prince of Peace and the Savior of the World.
This is a season when a spirit of generosity ignites us and highlights the best of humanity. For those of us in the Jewish community, we have celebrated Hanukkah, lighting the Menorah and giving gifts. Now, my Christian friends are celebrating Christmas by lighting trees and giving gifts of their own.
That’s why I’m glad that, on this Christmas-themed message, the former president pointed to the Lord rather than himself.
Remember: we’ve been training for this. We have the tools we need and the power of God to lead and support us. God’s got us; we can live committed.

Once upon a time it was assumed that words reflected reality. At least, it was assumed that some words did, such as “man” and “woman.” That assumption in turn rested upon the notion that the world had a particular structure and shape. In our present age, both of these ideas are proving unpopular.
