For Generation Z, just like Jesus, identity is key to purpose. Satan tried to bring doubt even to Jesus. He does the same with each of us, first attacking our identity so he can move us away from our purpose.
We must make a case for Christ and the cross. We must, like Paul and Barnabas, speak “so effectively” that many believe. Yes, God is sovereign in evangelism, but our sovereign God uses humans as his instruments of redemption.
But elections can’t solve the problem. We’ve got the problem that our culture has been decaying from the inside for 30 or 40 years, and politics is nothing but an expression of culture. So how do you fix the culture? Culture is actually formed by the belief system of the people, by the cult, which was what the Church has been historically.
Since secularism is the prevailing worldview of the elites who control so much of the thought and activity in this country, the cyclist’s observations may seem startling. But when you consider so much of our nation’s history, it’s not surprising.
