Our nation has spent almost two years being “chilled to the bone” by fear-mongering. Fear is killing us and must stop. During previous times of national emergency, America put its ultimate faith in God and kept fear under control with faith. In 1933, Roosevelt reminded Americans of that characteristic defining our success and demanded we shed fear.
Was I a good person? In my own eyes, yes. Did I love Jesus? Yes. Was I fully living for Him? No, I wasn’t. There is a distinct difference between attending church and being a true Christian.
Before you dismiss this because leader isn’t in your title, hang with me. I don’t care whether you are on the payroll at your church or if you do what you do for free. If you have relationships, you have influence.

Our lack of accountability puts us in a position to be more influenced by the world than the church because the negative social consequences of upsetting the world outweigh our commitment to being part of a community that finds joy in suffering and freedom in even the most inconvenient truths.
Humans are attempting to satisfy the spiritual yearnings of the soul with the physical pleasures of life. And it won’t work. It can’t work. The physical pleasures of life can never satisfy the spiritual longings of the soul.
